RECIPES TO TRY

Here I list recipes that have caught my eye because of their unusual ingredients or flavour combinations, or simply because I would be very sad to let slip out of my mind.  Do let me know your verdicts if you get a chance to try them!

There's really not much point to this page anymore since I've discovered PINTEREST! Love love. Just love it.  Mostly because it takes next to no effort, enabling me to catalogue my daily tastespotting "likes" even when I'm dead tired. And, it just looks pretty.

Blueberry pancakes with crisp prosciutto and maple syrup
Pancakes, eh if I can be bothered and have a mega craving.  But pancakes with CRISPY CURED PORK plus BLUEBERRIES?!  Surely it's got to be a winner.  Aah takes me back to the time I made chocolate and bacon cookies.
Lorraine Pascale

Sweet and spicy beef and pork pie
This looks more like a gutsy quiche and being an Ottolenghi number you can expect every ingredient to play a role on the palate.  Take advantage of the small but interesting collection of recipes on the website.
Ottolenghi

Chocolate and peanut butter cake
This needs no explanation. It deserves TWO photos.
Sky High (Chronicle Books, 2007) via Smitten Kitchen

Ice cream cone cupcakes
Just plain fun.
